Ed is our Legislative Liaison who stays busy with ensuring Able SC is connected to the SC General Assembly and assisting with our efforts to make SC a better place to live, work and play for people with disabilities.

Ed has years of experience as staff attorney and lobbyist for SC local governments and state associations. He was Staff Attorney/Lobbyist for the SC Association of Counties, Legislative Counsel for the Municipal Association of SC, and General Counsel and Director of Government Affairs for the Manufactured/Modular Housing Institute of SC. He serves as of Counselor Attorney to Turner Padget where he assists clients like Able SC with a wide variety of legislative and legal issues. He greatly enjoys his work with Able SC, promoting independence for people with disabilities. He helped pass the SC Persons with Disabilities Right to Parent Act in 2017 and the Employment First Legislation in 2018.

He graduated Cum Laude from the Honors Program at The Citadel and the University of South Carolina School of Law.
