Karen is the Executive Assistant and wears many hats within the organization! Her main responsibility is to provide administrative support to Able SC’s Leadership and also to the SC Statewide Independent Living Council. Before coming to Able SC, Karen worked many years as a Paralegal in State Government and private practice. She is excited about being part of an organization that moves a mile a minute!

Karen graduated from the University of South Carolina (Forever to Thee) and is proud to be a huge Gamecock fan. Go Gamecocks! Karen is also the proud mother of her son, Josh, who moved to New York City for his career in Human Resources. She misses him very much! Karen also loves dogs and rescued her White Boxer (Ace) when he was 6 months old (13 ½ years ago). He is spoiled rotten but aren’t they all? Her son will tell you that she has more pictures of Ace than him, but that is not true. Karen also likes to spend her time working out at the gym.
