Laila Paige St. Martin is a dedicated professional working with the Equip program at Able SC. At nearly 22 years old, Laila embraces her journey with ADHD and Autism, allowing her to bring a unique perspective to her role. Born in the United States, but moved to Lisbon, Portugal at age 6 and is fluent in both English and Portuguese, and understands multiple languages such as Italian, French, Spanish and now learning Japanese!
In her role, Laila works closely with Equip leaders, offering one-on-one mentoring to help them build their skills and achieve personal goals. She collects data at events, assists with distributing surveys, and tracks the progress of Equip leaders. Laila also contributes to the overall success of the program through teamwork and collaborative efforts, helping to ensure that each individual receives the support they need. She enjoys working with youth and helping them embrace their unique qualities and disabilities just like she does.
Laila has a background in working with youth with disabilities (2 years), teaching English as a second language and Art. She took her A levels in Psychology, Sociology and Media. Post A levels she took a 2 year course in Interior Design and the Arts, and is now pursuing Graphic Design.
Beyond her professional work, Laila is passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of others, continuously finding inspiration from her personal experiences. Outside of work, she enjoys working on her creative projects related to Graphic Design, doing Yoga and meditation, writing poetry, recording episodes for her self-help podcast and creative YouTube channel while traveling.
