A Columbia, South Carolina native, Taylor Kane Tate holds a dual BA in Finance and Government from Wofford College. For over five years, she has dedicated her career to fundraising for local mission-driven organizations, including Transitions Homeless Center and SC First Steps.
Taylor believes in being open about her disabilities—including ADHD, alcoholism (sober since April 13, 2018), anxiety, CPTSD, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic major depression, hEDS, HS, GI disorders, MCAS, POTS, slipping rib syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, and others—to foster belonging and help others feel less alone while navigating life with multiple chronic illnesses and invisible disabilities.
Outside the office, Taylor enjoys exploring local art galleries, museums, antique shops, and thrift stores with her husband, Adam. A self-proclaimed chicken salad connoisseur and china collector, she's also known for her discerning taste in cheeseburgers, particularly those from Columbia institution Rush's. While others seek outdoor adventures, Taylor embraces her passion as an avid indoorswoman, spending time with family, friends, and her beloved dog, Doug.
