Able to Work: Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA)

WIPA services are available to individuals, ages 14 to full retirement age, who receive or are entitled to SSA benefits, typically Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and/or Supplemental Security Income (SSI), and who are working or seeking employment. The program assists individuals in understanding the status of their benefits and how a change in work status may impact those benefits. The services include:
  1. A review of the individual’s benefits,
  2. Discussion of current and future impact of employment and available work incentives
  3. Comprehensive written outline of options available to support informed choice.
To receive more information about WIPA services, please contact our WIPA department at 803-509-6556.
