Ali Ruegamer serves as the Transportation Program Coordinator at Able South Carolina, where she assists consumers on ADA Paratransit Eligibility. Ali works with consumers in assisting them with the DART, Columbia SC’s paratransit service, application, and eligibility process.

Ali graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Converse College. While in college she was involved with the disability community by working with people ages 7-20 at a summer camp designated for children with disabilities. She worked at the summer camp for two years, working and learning alongside other counselors to give a memorable summer experience.   After graduating college, Ali worked in the disability community as a home health personal care assistant for seven years. She worked one-on-one with consumers in their homes to ensure they were receiving proper care. After seven years of working as a personal care assistant, she went on to work directly with consumers at Able SC, broadening her education with continuous training.

When she is not working Ali is playing video games with her husband, putting together a puzzle, enjoying time with friends, or relaxing with her cat.
