Grace Trumpower has worked with Able SC since 2016. They started their career as an Equip mentor. They have worked 1:1 with youth with disabilities as a mentor. They have written blog posts about various topics relevant to youth with disabilities. They have served on the board of the National Council of Independent Living. They have spoken at Able SC's Advocacy Day twice, and they enjoy writing poetry about life with a disability.

Grace is especially passionate about equal education opportunities for students with disabilities and equal opportunity employment. Grace has advocated on behalf of students with disabilities by speaking to the SC Department of Education, using their lived experience as a public school student in South Carolina.

Grace is now a Youth Program Assistant. They work behind the scenes updating the curriculum, writing for the youth newsletter, and assisting the Youth Team with various tasks.

Outside of work, Grace enjoys volunteering to improve accessibility at a local university, watching movies, and reading queer romance and science fiction novels.

Grace is a middle child and has two siblings. Grace is proud to live independently in her own apartment, which was built to accommodate people with IDD. They have four housemates and a dog named Duke.
