Kim Martinez-Ward brings over 30 years of experience as a Non-Profit Executive with a focus on social and human service organizations. As a director of development, she has expertise in implementing annual and capital fundraising plans, strategic analysis, major donor cultivation and solicitation, and establishing development procedures to maximize effective operations and communications. Kim became passionate about charity work when she was a teenager. Inspired by working alongside her parents serving migrant families in the labor camps and farms in California, Kim quickly developed a deep desire for charitable work. This resolve stuck with her through college, leading her into a career with the Girl Scouts of the USA, followed by several human, social, and community organizations in Arizona, California, Oregon, Florida, and South Carolina.
Kim earned a BA degree from Arizona State University and a BS degree from St Johns River State College. She and her husband have one teenage son. She enjoys providing volunteer leadership with the Piedmont Chapter of AFP; the Upstate Girls on the Run; and a Jacksonville, FL, non-profit Runners 4 Recovery.
Kim leads Able SC resource development and donor communications efforts as Director of Development.
