As Director of Public Health and Disability Integration, Mandy is responsible for evaluating, developing, & implementing public health programs at Able SC to ensure that people with disabilities have equitable access. She represents Able SC in a wide range of public health services & supports, to ensure that healthcare prevention services, assistive technology services, and transition and diversion programs are implemented correctly and delivered to individuals in the disability community in a fair and equitable manner.

Mandy is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, class of 1994. In 2013 she earned a certification in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction from Upstream, a Center for Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. She is a current mentee of the founders of the school. In 2017 she graduated from the SC Diversity Leaders Institute from the Riley Institute at Furman University. She is a founding member of the non-profit SC Women in Leadership, a speaker on the NAMI SC Crisis Intervention Team, and a board member at Work in Progress. She was recently certified in Adult Mental Health First Aid by the National Council of Mental Wellbeing. In addition, Mandy was recently certified as a Peer Support Specialist.

Mandy is a mother of two 20-somethings & a 10-year-old Maltese named Penelope. Her favorite leisure time activity is thrift shopping. When not in Columbia, you can find Mandy in Durham, N.C. spending time with her sweetheart.
